Susan Lazar designed her women's ready to wear collection from 1995 to 2002.  The brand  reached sales of 8 million and was sold in departments stores and high end designer boutiques  both domestically and internationally . It was a press favorite amongst top fashion magazines as well as celebrites . Her designs were loved for their timeless, feminine and modern look.

Lazar launched egg in 2003, a New York-based baby and childrenswear company.  At egg she focuses on family and the nurturing elements of fashion, making  the transition from “runway to rompers” and hasn’t looked back.

Susan loves that egg is a universal brand with an affordable price point. She calls it “affordable luxury” for baby and kids.  Egg’s tag line is “nurture your baby in style” and that’s what she does w the egg line-  “I wanted to strike a balance between ‘chic’ and ‘sweet’…and I think we’ve done that with egg.  She primarily uses natural fabrics and yarns highlighting what is pure and natural- just like the love between babies and parents. All eggs are the same on the outside… the message is that it’s what inside that counts!” Egg has explored successful brand extensions  including  egg maternity and egg home as well.

Susan currently lives in New York City’s Financial district and has recently become a mom as well- an amazing joy in her life.
